Description:

At Bridge's Creek, Westmoreland Co. Va. (Feb. 22nd, 1732.) This house commanded a view of the Potomac and the opposite shore of Maryland. The roof was steep, and sloped down into low projecting eaves. It had four rooms on the ground floor, and others in the attic, and an immense chimney at each end. see b/w photo file
