Celebrate the last day of classes with a scoop of “Molly-Polly Strawberry Chunker” ice cream, created by downtown Easton’s Bank Street Creamery in conjunction with “Tiffany at Lafayette,” now on view in the Williams Center Gallery and Skillman Library.
Documents show that on June 21 during the 1886 trip along the Delaware and Lehigh Canals by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Louise Knox, and friends aboard a “chunker” barge pulled by mules Molly and Polly, the group stopped for strawberries and green peas. We thought strawberries and sweet cream would make better ice cream. Come have some!
