Focus! Photographs and photo-based works from Lafayette’s art and special collections are featured. The collection includes a selection of photo methods from tin types, daguerreotypes, albumen prints, cyanotype, gelatin silver, digital prints, color pigment prints, Andy Warhol Polaroid’s (with a “Big Shot” fixed focal length Polaroid), lantern/glass slides with viewer, and transparencies to 35 mm slides.
Photographers included in the exhibition include Harry Callahan, Eugene Atget printed by Berenice Abbott, Barbara Morgan, W. Eugene Smith, Margaret Bourke-White, Theo Anderson, Michael Peel, Ralph Gibson, Andy Warhol, Brandon Ballengee, Edward S. Curtis photogravures, and copy print of Lincoln after Anthony Berger/Matthew Brady.
